Just got the kiddos in the bed after a long day, spent my lunch hour at Liquid Surf Shop checking out the Kayaks and the other cool gear they have. I have had the urge lately to go kayak fishing with my boys, and spend some time in the "Great Outdoors". There are many fun things to do with our children however we as Fathers need to make it a point to spend time with our children. If we don't take the time to bond with our children when they are young, when they become young adults, we will have missed the buss. This year Isaac 8 and Noah 6 have been attending a Private Christian Academy in Ft. Walton and have been riding with me to work and home for the 45 min drive. We need to take advantage of any amount of time we have with our children no matter how little that time may be; take the time to have lunch twice a week with your children at school or take them to school twice a week your self instead of letting them ride the "Nut Wagon" every day. I urge fathers everywhere to connect to your children or someone else will!!

Just finished reading Joe Stapp's blog entry, he is so true in so many ways!
My Family and I are going to spend the weekend on the beach and I plan on spending a lot of time with them reading God's Word. It is imperative we as Fathers equip our children with the tools they need to set a proper spiritual foundation for their lives. If we as Fathers refuse to do this, then there will certainly be others who will. While watching FOX NEWS today I noticed the story of a member of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan that was born and raised in Daphne Alabama!!
Someone seriously dropped the ball with this guy, was it his Parents, his Friends, or his Relatives?
All I know is that just like the Terrorists that attempted to "Blow Up" Ft. Dix Army Base a few years ago, and the 911 Hijackers these Terrorists are COMMITED!
That's right, they are committed fully to their cause while we as "Americans" are sitting by with our Bibles and our Morals collecting dust.
Fathers are worried more about their Jobs and Hobbies than their Families and their relationship with God. There is one thing you can bet on, while most Fathers are going to be hanging out watching Football this weekend, The Fathers of the Extremists will be training their Children to Hate Americans and reading the Koran.
